You are struggling. You know your life could be better. You’ve tried everything you can to fix it, and you don’t know what to do next.
We can help.
We offer counseling, psychotherapy, and biofeedback for adults, teenagers and children. We are good listeners, but we do more than listen. We actively work with you to help you set goals and make important changes in your life, and we help you reach your goals in as few sessions as possible. We are experienced with helping people resolve many different issues including:
- Couple’s issues
- Family problems
- Alcohol and drug problems
- Sex and/or love addiction, compulsive gambling, and other addictions
- Eating disorders and overeating
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Attention deficit disorder and ADHD
- Panic disorders
- Parenting problems
- Sleep disorders
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
- Peak Performance
- Brain injury and stroke
- Bipolar disorder
- Autism and autistic spectrum disorder
We also help children and teenagers with improving school performance, behavior problems, learning disabilities, stress, ADD, and other issues.
How long does it take?
How long you stay in counseling depends upon what and how much you wish to resolve. For instance, you may choose to stay for just a few sessions to deal with an immediate problem. Or you may decide to work longer to take care of underlying patterns that have been bothering you for awhile. You and your therapist will work together to figure this out.
Coping effectively with trauma
Both Erik and Mary Lee are also certified in a new EMDR type treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Evidence shows that traditional counseling approaches can make PTSD and trauma worse by reviving painful memories without giving clients the tools to cope. EMDR works rapidly to reduce trauma symptoms, reactivity, and overall stress levels. We also use other highly effective, research-proven tools, including neurofeedback, for helping clients with trauma.
